Gold Quartz

Approximately 60 million years ago, veins of ore were deposited during volcanic eruptions in the newly uplifted Sierra Nevada mountains. Most of the ore is low grade, being combined with sulfides and other dark minerals. The rare gold quartz stone used in our jewelry is a very pure white crystallized quartz with a heavy gold matrix.
